Pre planning application letters

You may get some ideas from these. The Hutchison letter, in particular, questions the need for a mobile base station in this locality and suggests alternative locations. Hutchison acknowledged the letter in a telephone call but never replied to it.

Letter writing tip. Write two letters!

When it comes to objecting to mobile mast planning applications the volume of letters matters. Every voter can send in an objection. The preferred solution is for each person in the house to send in an individual letter of their own. If you can't manage this then simply send in identical letters under your individual names.

Can you offer the campaign team any tips?

Letter writing tip. Where you visit also matters.

If you live close to the proposed mast and see it every time you look out of your lounge or kitchen window then visual amenity may be your main concern. Stress and potential mental ill-health might also be a worry. You may live a little further afield. The highest levels of radiation typically occur between 50m and 200m from the mast. If you live within that range then possible biological ill-health could be a cause for worry. Do your children normally play near the proposed site. Are you a member of the Tennis Club? Not being able to assess the level of risk might be a concern in itself.

What if you can't see the mast? Do complain. Microwave radiation penetrates through brick, slate, concrete etc and is excellent for cooking flesh. The long-term effects of low level radiation, in combination with its pulsing effect, are not yet known. It may turn out that most of us are at some significant risk.
